Imperfect Architectural Twins

This series of work is concerned with imperfect twins and the interaction of positive and negative form across a shared, central seam. What began with a task to “see the world through the eyes of a rearview mirror,” evolved into a semester-long engagement with the phenomenon of mirroring. An initial interest in imperfect mirror images and skewed reflections, culminates in a final intervention which embraces correspondence, but also realizes asymmetry, misalignment, and the inversion of form. Two buildings “mirror” one another, joined by a central, covered courtyard. While these fraternal structures relate, they remain equally faithful to evading facsimile.
