Creased Canopy

The site intervention aims to represent adaptability and flexibility in two senses: 1) the way in which the plan fits into the site and grows across it 2) its aesthetic quality, representing traits of early paper folding models, specifically creases and the way paper folds to open and expand and then constrict and collapse inwards. This is done by playing with projection and depth, with the roof plan of the site intervention able to maintain the initial pattern that was adapted to the site as a curving, overarching canopy that drapes over rooms and benches.
